Innovative Water Recovery |
| |
|
A project designed
and built in cooperation with Black's Photo Corporation
Close loop of Canada s largest photo finishing laboratory from discharge
of 70,000 gallons per day. |
|
| |
The key to complete
recycle was to separate slightly contaminated rinse waters and treat them
through a series of nanofilters and reverse osmosis. The concentrate streams
were directed through vacuum distillation. |
|
|
| |
|
High strength discharges
from chemistry baths were collected separately and treated through membranes.
All concentrate streams were further treated through vacuum distillation.
The overhead water was treated for volatile components and the concentrated
chemistry was shipped offsite for disposal. |
|
| |
The project also
included success in regenerating and/or minimizing photo finishing chemistry
for longer use and run lengths. |

The important aspects of any
equipment installation is the accurate balancing of flows, prediction and
modelling of contaminant levels, and a design for long term operations with
minimum maintenance. System Crystal achieved these objectives. The following
pictures describe some of the equipment installed. |
