ABB

ABB is a multinational corporation operating mainly in robotics, power, heavy electrical equipment, and automation technology areas with over 25 locations and over 5,000 employees in Canada alone. ABB hired Altech to provide an independent, impartial review of their site in Brampton in order to evaluate compliance to applicable environmental legislation, regulations, guidelines, and identify any risks or liabilities associated with past or present activities at the site.

The scope of the audit included an assessment of environmental management systems; permits and approvals; designated materials storage and handling; hazardous waste management; spill prevention and emergency response; air quality management; water quality management; land and groundwater quality management; and reporting.

During the course of the audit it was found that ABB had adopted measures that demonstrate due diligence in managing environmental issues, ensuring continued compliance and minimizing the environmental impacts of its operations.
