Pipe & Piping supplies has 12 branches across Canada and the United States, supplying a wide range of beams, bearing pile, pipe piling, sheet piling and accessories. Pipe & Piping Supplies retained Altech to complete Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Contaminant Delineation, and Limited remediation projects as well as groundwater sampling to ensure that groundwater underlying this specific area of the property continues to comply with the applicable Ministry of Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) Standard for sites in Ontario.

Altech’s scope included:
-Inspect the monitoring wells and observe the water conditions within the wells.
– Purge groundwater from each monitoring well
-Submit the samples to an accredited laboratory for analysis of Petroleum Hydrocarbons (PHCs)
-Receive the results and prepare a brief letter report describing the observations, sampling, and laboratory analytical results.

Altech provided a detail summary of monitoring and analysis, as well as recommendations for improvement. Pipe & Piping supplies utilized Altech’s engineering expertise to effectively improve the wells to avoid future contamination, and set-up monitoring protocols to ensure future compliance.
