Siemens Canada Limited is the principal Canadian subsidiary of the multinational engineering and electronics company Siemens. It is active in many fields, ranging from oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation and distribution to information and communications, and health care. Siemens Canada owns a telecommunications equipment assembly operation in Concord, Ontario and retained Altech to conduct an Environmental Compliance Audit.

The scope of Altech’s Audit for Siemens Canada included:
1. Assess compliance to all applicable environmental legislation; regulations, and guidelines
2.Identify risks or liabilities associated with present activities
3.Identify tasks that must be addressed in the plant’s environmental management system to ensure ongoing compliance with legal requirements and management of significant environmental aspects.

Siemens Canada used Altech’s Audit report to effectively assess and maintain compliance, adopt several proactive measures, and adhere to ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 9001:2008 certifications.
